PURPOSE:To easily correct a short circuit of a liquid-crystal panel wherein liquid crystal is injected and sealed, by detecting a short circuit between picture- element wiring electrodes, and removing metal at the short-circuited part by laser trimming. CONSTITUTION:An external terminal electrode part 8 where external terminal electrodes 1A, 3A and 5A are provided is pressed with conductive rubber, etc., and a voltage is applied between interposed counter ''NESA '' eletrodes 10 through the electrode part 8 and a liquid-crystal layer. Picture-element electrodes 1a', 1b', 3a', 3b', 5a', and 5b' are turned on and picture-element electrodes 2a' and 2b' are further turned on by short-circuiting to perform observation through a polarizing plate, thus finding the short-circuited part 7 between the picture- element electrodes 2' and 4'. Then, metal at the short-circuited part 7 is trimmed by a laser through a glass substrate 6' to correct the short circuit. |
