PURPOSE:To manufacture the titled heat exchanger which is small-sized, of high efficiency and cheap in price by a method wherein a single sheet of thin partition plate having a good heat transfer property and a high rate of moisture permeability is folded in a zigzag fashion to for m pluralities of heat transfer surfaces and partition surfaces so that the resultant product becomes of convention type. CONSTITUTION:The full heat exchanger is manufactured in such a manner that the single sheet of thin partition plate 2 having a good heat transfer property and a high rate of moisture permeability is folded in a zigzag fashion so that the resultant product is provided with pluralities of heat transfer surfaces 2B and partition surfaces 2C and the spaces enclosed by these surfaces 2B and 2C serve as passages through which primary and secondary steam currents pass in an alternative fashion. In this case, the spaces among the heat transfer surfaces 2B are kept constant by corrugated partition plates 3a, 3b, 4a and 4b, respectively, and the primary steam current flows in the direction of the arrow (a) while the secondary steam current flows in the direction of the arrow (b). The plates 3a and 3b are made different in shape and dimensions from the plates 4a and 4b and the plates 3a make pairs with plates 4a while the plates 3b make pairs with the plates 4b, respectively. These pairs of partition plates are bonded to the heat transfer surfaces 2B in such a manner that the pairs of the plates 3a and 4a are bonded to the upper sides of the surfaces 2B in an alternative fashion while the pairs of the plates 3b and 4b are bonded to the opposite sides of the surfaces 2B in an alternative fashion without overlapping the pairs of the plates 3a and 4b. |
