PURPOSE:To prevent the contacted surfaces of a milling main shaft and a boring main shaft from being abraded due to their fine movement, by holding the boring main shaft by support pins inserted radially into the milling main shaft. CONSTITUTION:The three clamp pins 17a, 17b, 17c are fitted in through-holes radially drilled in the milling main shaft 1, and are urged radially outward by the action of springs 21 to become in contact with the insides of wedges 16a, 16b, 16c. The contacted surfaces 22a, 22b, 22c of the wedges 16a, 16b, 16c and the pins 17a, 17b, 17c forms part of a cylindrical surface that is eccentric with respect to the axis of the boring main shaft 6. The wedges 16a, 16b, 16c are rotated on a guide surface formed by a guide 13 and a ring 14, and the contacted surfaces 22a, 22c exert their wedge action to cause the pins 17a, 17b, 17c to radially clamp or unclamp the boring main shaft. |
