A tray (1) made as a skeleton construction has a bottom (2) with longitudinal supports (20, 21, 22) and transverse supports (23-26) which are perpendicular thereto. To increase the strength of the skeleton construction, longitudinal bridges (14, 15) and transverse bridges (17, 18, 19) are provided. The longitudinal and transverse bridges (14, 15; 17-19) are curved upwards from the bottom (2) in the manner of bending moment lines. Additionally, supports (8-12) are arranged on the bottom at the corners of an irregular polygon, which supports project with one part beyond the edge (7) of the tray (1) and allow stacking of trays (1). Touch-and-close fasteners (36) arranged on the side walls (3-6) serve for anchoring with adjacent trays (1'). <IMAGE>
