PURPOSE:To remove harmful matters existing in a cathode-ray tube efficiently by giving sonic vibrations to a bulb by means of a jet-gas sound generator inserted inside the bulb so as to make the bulb to vibrate, and at the same time, by giving sonic vibrations to the bulb from outside the bulb. CONSTITUTION:Condensed air is sent into a jet-gas sound generator 4 before exhausted from a nozzle 7, and thus produced sonic vibrations are applied to the inner wall of a bulb 2. At the same time, sonic vibrations with a different frequency from that of the generator 4 are applied to the bulb 2 from outside the bulb 2 by means of a vibrator 6. By thus applying sound waves with different frequencies from the inside and the outside of the bulb 2, vibrating parts are made homogeneously dispersed, and the entire bulb surface stably vibrates homogeneously with a proper degree of intensity. As the result, harmful matters existing in the bulb 2 are most efficiently removed. |
