The subject of the invention is a wiper device for windows, exterior mirrors or headlights of motor vehicles, having a wiper arm and a wiper drive. The wiper arm (2) is mounted in a guide rail (5) corresponding to the length of the wiping surface (1) and is connected to the wiper drive (8, 9) via a shaft (4, 22).
