PURPOSE:To avoid that excessive force is exerted in the body material of a band saw when it is cutting a turning section and is bent, by constituting the titled band saw such that when the tips of the band saw is in cutting operation, as if the tips were acting as part of the body material so that an effective surface long enough for the cutting is secured for the band saw blade. CONSTITUTION:The body material 2 that constitutes a main constituent of the band saw blade 1 is made of a body material of a metal material consisting mainly of steel and having toughness and resiliency. The band saw blade 1 is provided with U-shaped notches 3 at certain intervals in one of the peripheries, and each tip supporting section 4 is formed between the notches 3. The tip supporting section 4 is a notch in the shape of C, and is named a supporting recess 5. One or several slits 6 extend from the bottom of the recess 5. A pair of tips 7 made of diamond particles that are kneaded and crystallized are provided in the recess 5, the total length of the effective lengths of the tips 7 in the recess 5 is equal to the length of the recess 5. Thus when the body material is at the turning section of a work, the body material is smoothly bent. |
