PURPOSE:To effectively inhibit tight adhesion of adjacent wire parts, while inhibiting their direct contact, by interposing glass cloth or paper between adjacent layers when a copper wire is to be wound round a reel. CONSTITUTION:When a metal wire having a copper or copper alloy surface is to be wound round a reel, glass cloth or paper is interposed one by between adjacent layers. The wire is then wound round the reel and annealed. The glass cloth to be used is woven fabric of glass fiber. The paper may be one which will turn into carbon when heated in an unoxidizing atmosphere, e.g. packing paper such as craft or roll paper, or printing paper such as pulp paper, magazine paper or newsprint paper. When the wire is annealed under the condition wound round the reel in an atmospheric gas or vacuum, the glass cloth does not change, and the paper turns into carbon. Consequently, direct contact of adjacent wire parts, metallic diffusion therebetween and their close adhesion can be effectively inhibited. As a result, the wire can be smoothly pulled out from the reel. |
