PURPOSE:To prevent an error in printing due to the erroneous insertion of a wrong bankbook, by controlling the prescribed rate of feeding after the lower end of a bankbook passes a position sensor. CONSTITUTION:On the way of inserting bankbook 14, the lower end of the bankbook 14 shields a sensor P. A body whose length is known previously like bankbooks, when fed by a prescribed rate B while passing the sensor P, is subjected to pass sensors M and M1, and it is not present. For this purpose, the rate of the feeding is counted after the sensor P is shielded and when the prescribed rate B of feeding is counted, sensors U and M1 are checked to stop the feeding immediately when a bankbook inserted erroneously is detected. Simultaneously, a pilot lamp is turned on to let an operator know the erroneous insertion. Then, the operator discharges the medium. Consequently, an error in erroneous printing processing, etc., is prevented. |
