PURPOSE:To raise the accuracy of printing by a method in which the magnitude of the deflected amount of ink is detected by the output pulse of an image sensor and the deflected amount is kept at a predetermined value by varying the flow rate of ink and charging voltage. CONSTITUTION:Since ink supplied from an ink pump 19 and jetted through a nozzle 20 is divided into regular ink droplets rows 24 by the vibration of a piezo-electric vibrator 21, a charge electrode 26 is placed the place where ink is divided and a certain voltage of pulse is given by a charge circuit 25, whereupon ink droplets are electrically charged, deflected between deflecting electrodes 28a and 28b, and pass by the front side of the image sensor 22. At this time, the deflected condition of ink droplets is reflected on the image sensor 22 by light emitted from a luminous element on the opposite side. Then, a counter 16 is cleared by sample pulse (b) from a printing control circuit 15, a count value at a standard deflection value is set in the register 17, the counter 16 is worked until output (c) from the image sensor 2 appears, and then the values of the counter 16 and the register 17 are compared in a count value comparator circuit 18. |
