PURPOSE:To drop ingots in a condition that the ingots are orderly arranged in a predetermined position, by providing a pressing member in the frame of a gripping device so that the irregularlity of the ingot surfaces in a gripping member may be perfectly corrected. CONSTITUTION:A gripping member 1 performs opening and closing arcuate movement by a cylinder device 9 through a link mechanism 8 for grabbing up and gripping a work 2. The work 2 moved to an optimum position is released from the gripping of the gripping member 1 when the cylinder device 9 is operated again, and thus dropped onto a predetermined position, while a pressing member 18 follows the work 2 downward in contact therewith, caused by the simultaneous operation of a pressing device C, so that the pressing member 18 lightly depresses the work 2 at the termination of drop of the work 2. Thereby, the pressing member 18 suppresses the shock bounce of the work 2, surely, and as well, suitably pushes edges of the work 2 even when the dropped position of the work 2 is slightly shifted from the predetermined position so that the works 2 are successively loaded in the predetermined position satisfactorily. |
