A programme control device, e.g. for washing- machines has a driving motor that has an axially displaceable armature driving in one position a timer and in the other position (to which it is urged by an increased magnetizing current through the motor) driving a stepping device which actuates programme contacts. Armature 5 drives a cam disc 14 through a gear train 7, 8, 12 and functions as a synchronous motor. The contacts 1, 2 and 3 close in sequence and one is selected in accordance with the time interval required. The effective contact shunts resistor 17 and thus increases the current through the stator 4. The armature now slides into the magnetic field against a spring 28 and a gear drive now exists between 7 and 20. This drive operates a drive to the programme switch 15 and a cam 23 rotates with cam 22 and tilts the shaft 30 to allow the timing train to disengage and the cam disc 14 returns to zero under a spring 16. The programme drive energization is maintained by a cam 22 operating hold-on contacts 26, 27 until the programme switch has completed one step. When this is completed the energization of the motor is reduced to that pertaining to the timing drive, pinion 7 disengages the programme drive and the shaft 30 is released by cam 23 so that the timing train again becomes operative. In an embodiment, the movement of the armature disengages a clutch in the programme train instead of the pinion 7 being disengaged from wheel 20.</p> |
