<p>A brake light switch (33) is integrated into a vehicle brake pedal to be actuated by the application of pressure to the pedal. In one embodiment, Fig. 5, the pedal pad (17) is movable relative to the pedal and this relative movement effects closure of the switch. In this same embodiment a vacuum interrupt valve (51) is also positioned within the pedal pad for disabling a speed control unit of the associated vehicle when the brake pedal is actuated. In Fig. 8, a silicone strip 86 having metal balls 87 molded therein is disposed between contact strips 82 and 83 of an electric switch. <IMAGE></p> |
