PURPOSE:To prevent interruption of printing operation or the like by automatically judging whether or not a blank has such thickness as to choke a printing press or the like and indicating the judgement through letters, voices, etc. CONSTITUTION:When, for example in a thickness setting circuit 19 only the upper limit value of blank thickness is set, the measured value and set value of the thickness of a blank 8 are compared with each other by a thickness measuring section 7. When the measured value is not larger than the set value, a switch circuit 13 is turned on so that the blank 8 is sent by drive control circuits 12, 15 and a feed roll 6. Also, at the same time a display controlling circuit 20 and a display section 21 indicate that the blank is fed. When the measured value of the thickness of blank 8 is larger than the set one, the switch 13 is kept turned off so that the feed of the blanket is blocked while the display section 21 indicates that choking of feed. |
