Monofilaments having excellent transparency and strength and useful as fishing line were manufd. by melt spinning vinylidene fluoride resin 100, poly(Me acrylate) (I) or 15:85 isobutylene-Me acrylate copolymer 1-30, and polyester plasticizer 0-10parts. Thus, poly(vinylidene fluoride) 100, I 15, and poly(propylene adipate) 5 parts were mixed in an extruder pelletized, and melt spun into a monofilament of diam. 1.2mm, outstanding transparency, sp. wt. 1.70, tensile strength 46 kg/mm2.
