PURPOSE:To reduce electric power consumption with respect to a camera wherein various parts are controlled by a microcomputer (MCU) and the number of wound frames of films is counted and displayed electrically by allowing the MCU to assume a stand-by mode and to stop electric power supply to peripheral circuits while the camera is not in use. CONSTITUTION:Since an end switch 13 is closed upon ending of a series of photographing sequence, an MCU10 goes to a stand-by mode, thus assuming the state of consuming electric power slightly. At the same time, the transistor TR of a stand-by circuit 11 goes off to stop supplying electric power to peripheral circuits ARC. As a result, the rate of the electric power consumption in said state is made slight and the data of the number of wound frames of the film, etc. during the period of the stand-by mode are stored in the RAM in the CPU10 without breakdown. Thus the electric power consumption of the camera while the camera is not in use is reduced. |
