INERTING OF PULVERIZING MILLS FOR COMBUSTIBLE MATERIALS A method is provided for inhibiting the occurrence of explosions or puffs in a coal pulverizing mill by introducing a sufficient amount of water vapor into the primary air stream of a coal pulverizing system immediately prior to the introduction of coal at start-up and during stripping at shutdown.
