PURPOSE:To compute a flow of a sample and an apparent viscosity, by a method wherein, after a cylinder, having a nozzle at its lower end, is filled with a sample, the sample is pressed by a plunger to measure displacement of the plunger, loading, and a flow-out time of a sample. CONSTITUTION:After the inside of a heat resisting case 5 is regulated to a set temperature through operation of a heater 6 attached to an inner surface of the case 5, the inside of a cylinder 2 is filled with a sample. With an elevating air cylinder 18 lowered, a downward force is applied to a lever 9 by means of a loading weight 17. The sample is then pressed by a plunger 3 to cause the sample in a fusing condition to flow out through a nozzle 4. Meanwhile, a rectilinear type potentiometer 23 transmits an electric signal, corresponding to the displacement of the plunger 3, to a microcomputer 1, and the computer 1 computes the flow and the apparent viscosity of the sample from data on the flow-out time of the sample and displacement to record them in a printer 30. This permits the reliable and rapid computation of a flow and an apparent viscosity. |
