PURPOSE:To reproduce solid parts and fine image parts faithfully without being affected by environmental changes by using a rotary brush body for sticking of a powdery non-magnetic insulating toner by frictional charging. CONSTITUTION:When a rotary brush body 1 is rotated in the direction opposite from a photosensitive drum 4, the body 1 rubs a ''Teflon '' brush 1b and a toner 3. The electrostatically charged toner is stuck to the brush 1b and is conveyed. During the course of the conveying, the toner is charged electrostatically to an arbitrary polarity by a corona charger 5. Thereafter, the toner developes the latent image formed on a photosensitive drum in the developing position in contact with the drum 4. Since each particle of the toner stuck to the brush 1b is charged surely to a positive or negative electrode, photographic fogs are eliminated. In such a way the solid parts and fins image parts are reproduced faithfully without being influenced by environmental changes. |
