PURPOSE:To enable to convey ready-mixed concrete or the like under pressure continuously without pulsation, by reciprocating the screw of a screw pump along the axis of its rotation, and controlling the turning speed and the reciprocating speed of the screw at the time of its forward stroke and backward stroke appropriately. CONSTITUTION:With ready-mixed concrete or the like charged in a hopper 3, a screw 6 is turned by a motor 8, and at the same time, it is reciprocated by a hydraulic cylinder means 10. Here, the turning speed and the reciprocating speed of the screw 6 are selected under specific conditions such that ready- mixed concrete is dischargeed always at a constant rate and without pulsation from a discharge port of a single-barrel screw pump. Thus, since the screw 6 is reciprocated while conveying concrete under pressure by the turning of the screw 6, it is enabled to prevent co-turning of the screw 6 and a fluid to be conveyed due to sticking of the fluid to the screw shaft section 4a and hence to convey the fluid under high pressure. |
