PURPOSE:To improve the stability of steering, by bending both the lateral sections of a reinforcing aramid belt layer provided together with a reinforcing steel belt layer and by prescribing the width of each bent section to reduce the dependence of cornering force on load. CONSTITUTION:A tire comprises a reinforcing steel belt layer 5 and a reinforcing aramid belt layer 6. Both the lateral sections of the reinforcing layer 6 are bent so that the width li of the bent section at the side of the center of the vehicle is larger than that lo of the other bent section. Each of the widths li, lo of the bent sections is equal to 10 to 50% of the width L of the central section of the reinforcing layer 6. The width li is made layer than the width lo by 8 to 32% of the width L. Accrding to this constitution, a horizontal external force based on turning of the vehicle acts to the tire locating outside of the turning. As a result, even if the load is increased, high steering stability is attained because the dependence on the load is low. |
