PURPOSE:To reduce the packing volume of an expensive and dangerous gas and to simplify the detection of leakage by putting a balloon-like object in a container and, after expanding the object, injecting a gas required for leakage detection into the narrowed remaining space. CONSTITUTION:A balloon-like object 2 is made of a flexible thin film and put in a container 1 to be tested. A detecting device is provided with a pipe 4a for pressing a gas to put into the object 2, a pipe 4b for injecting a gas such as N2 gas into the container and a pipe 4c for injecting a gas used for leakage detection. Gas 6 is press-inputted in the object 2 at first to expand the object 2 and then the gas 7 such as N2 gas is injected into a narrowed remaining space to detect the leakage at the external surface of the container 1 while discharging the remaining air. Consequently the charging volume of an expensive and dangerous gas is reduced and the detection is simplified. |
