PURPOSE:To prevent grabbing chatter of a brake without causing the loss of a damping characteristic, by composing a rubber material layer of large damping characteristic mainly with rubber and forming said rubber material layer in a disc brake pad by the specific thickness. CONSTITUTION:A component material, as shown in the table, is blended, fully mixed by a mixing machine, and then dried for about 60min. at about 80-85 deg.C, while dispersedly volatilized with a solvent to obtain a rubber material. Then an amount of the rubber material, adjusted with thickness of a layer after heat molding under pressure in, for instance, 2mm. (except thickness of a boss hole in a back metal, further arranged with a pad material 3 on the upper side, prepared with a preliminary molded tablet, and then heat molded under pressure for about 6min. at about 140+ or -5 deg.C with surface pressure of about 400kg/cm<2>, thus a disc brake pad, formed with a rubber material layer 1, can be obtained. |
