PURPOSE:To attain energy saving effect, by a method wherein a turbine impeller is installed to a rotary shaft of a compressor through an overrunning device and a discharge pressure control valve supplying surplus gas to the turbine impeller is installed. CONSTITUTION:A turbocompressor 1 is rotated and driven by a motor 2 and a rotary shaft is provided with a turbine impeller 10. Although an overrunning device 18 can transmit power to the rotary shaft 13 from the turbine impeller, no power is transmitted in the opposite way. Discharge surplus gas is fed to the turbine impeller 10 for recovery of surplus power through a discharge pressure control valve 12 which is opened when discharge pressure from the turbocompressor 1 is more than a fixed value. Energy saving effect can be attained in this manner. |
