CULTIVATING METHOD FOR MICROORAGNISM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING SERINE PACEMASE

PURPOSE:To obtain a microorganism capable of producing serine racemase having a high enzymic activity in high yield, by cultivating the microoragnism while adding glucose continuously or intermittently to the culture medium to keep the glucose concentration in the culture medium at 1% or below. CONSTITUTION:The cultivation of Pseudomonas putida or Aeromonas punctata is carried out in a culture medium containing a sufficient amount of a nutrient source other than a carbon source at a cultivating temperature of 25-32 deg.C for the Pseudomonas putida or 25-37 deg.C for the Aeromonas punctata and a pH of 6-8 aerobically while adding glucose continuously or intermittently to the ture medium to keep the glucose concentration at 1% or below, preferably not exceeding 0.6%.
