PURPOSE:To produce a silver peroxide having an excellent moldability without decreasing the purity of the silver peroxide and increasing a gas generating rate by drying a silver peroxide powder contg. moisture in an atmosphere contg. no CO2 at a selected temp. and for a selected time, in the range expressed by a specified formula. CONSTITUTION:The chemically synthesized silver peroxide powder contg. moisture is dryed in the atomosphere contg. no CO2 at the selected temp. and for the selected time, in the certain ranges which are expressed by the formula I, the formula II and the formula III (wherein X express the drying temp. deg.C, Y expresses the drying time H). The moldability of the AgO is improved without increasing the gas generating rate nor greatly deteriorating the contg. rate of AgO by drying in an atomosphere contg. no CO2 in normal pressure, at a high temp. than usual and for a properly selected time. Accordingly pellet strength of the AgO powder is improved and the yield the producing stage for a silver peroxide cell is effectively improved. |
