PURPOSE:To obtain the uniformity of a picture, in the case a recording signal is applied as a heat pulse by a heat sensitive head which is provided on the back side of the transfer surface of a supporting belt, by rotating the belt in the reverse direction and supplying ink. CONSTITUTION:The ink is supplied on the supporting belt 5, and an ink layer 2 is formed. The ink layer 2 on the belt 5 and transfer paper is contacted and rotated. The recording signal is applied as the heat pulse by the heat sensitive head 3, which is provided on the back side of the transfer surface of the belt 5. Then the ink in the ink layer 2 on the belt 5 is softened. An ink supplying roll is rotated in the reverse directin one time. Thereafter it is rotated in the forward direction, the ink is supplied, and the printing is performed. The ink layer becomes flat by the ink supplying operation in the reverse rotation. The obtained picture has the remarkably high uniformity. |
