PURPOSE:To obtain a support member for a heat-insulating pipe, by a method wherein a core is placed in a cylindrical body, both ends of the cylindrical body are closed, a foamable raw liquid of polyurethane is poured into the body, and after foaming and solidifying the raw liquid, the core is drawn out, and an integral body of the cylindrical body and the foamed polyurethane is split in the axial direction at a plurality of positions in respect of the circumferential direction. CONSTITUTION:The core 5 in a cylindrical form is concentrically placed in the cylindrical body 4 made of paper, a synthetic resin or the like. Then, both ends of the body 4 are closed by caps, a raw liquid of rigid foamed polyurethane 6 is poured into the interior of the body 4, is foamed and solidified. Thereafter, the core 5 is drawn out, and the integral body of the foamed polyurethane 6 and the cylindrical body 4 is cut in the axial direction at a plurality of positions in respect of the circumferential direction. The integral pieces of the foamed polyurethane 6 and the body 4 thus split in respect of the circumferential direction are further cut in the axialdirection. Accordingly, a large number of segmentary supports 1 can be obtained extremely efficiently. |
