Hot air from a fan-driven air heater is passed through a filter (4) and a valve (5) connected to the suction pipe (16). Prior to starting, all hot air is passed through and delivers heat to the suction pipe (16), the conduit (6), and the air cleaner (4). - In the conduit (6), is a component (9) which closes a flow valve (8) in a by-pass (7) when the main valve (5) is open. When the engine is turned over by the starter motor, a quantity of hot air dependent upon the starting speed is sucked into its combustion chamber. After starting, the air flow direction is reversed so that cold air is warmed on passage through the air filter (19) and on into the engine. (Provisional Basic advised week 84/45)(1/5) |
