An arrangement which through its functioning provides a pre-processing of solid fuel and combustion air for boilers and furnaces, and also a pre-processing of exhaust gases from the same boilers or furnaces. By the use, cooling and pre-filtering of the drying medium, de-moistening and heating of the fuel, and pre- heating of the combustion air are achieved. The fundamental principles of the functioning of the arrangement are constituted by: demoistening and heating the fuel at 5 with hot gas as a drying medium, and simultaneously cooling and pre-filtering the drying medium by means of the unheated fuel. Further, at a later phase during the downward transport of the fuel at 8, preheating unprocessed combustion air through its passage through heated fuel, and further increasing the preheating at 12 and in a part of a pipe towards 13, which runs further towards a boiler or a furnace. <IMAGE> |
