<p>PURPOSE:To provide a dust collecting installation for blast furnaces which can reduce the cost of electric power considerably by collecting both of the gas contg. locally produced dust during normal tapping and the gas contg. abnormally produced dust with electrical dust precipitators which are designed to be intalled on buildings. CONSTITUTION:The dust produced abnormally during starting of tapping from a tap hole 12a and the dust produced locally during the normal tapping thereafter are collected with an electrical dust precipitator 18 right above the hole 12a. When the abnormal production of dust and local production of dust in the end period of tapping from the hole 12a arise simultaneously, the abnormally produced dust is collected with the precipitator 18a right above the hole 12a, and the locally produced dust is collected with an electrical precipitator 18b. More specifically, the dust collecting gas is run fromthe right to the left through a connecting duct 23 and the dust is collected with the precipitator 18b by closing selection dampers 25, 28 and opening an intermediate damper 24. Upon ending of the tapping from the hole 12a, the molten iron is tapped from a tap hole 12b. The operations therein are exactly the same as the above-mentioned operations.</p> |
