<p>PURPOSE:To enable acceleration of an overlapping process speed by storing character pattern data which is entered initially into a shift register once and performing a NAND operation of image dot data which is entered net using a NAND circuit and reentering the results of the operation. CONSTITUTION:Character pattern data is read from ROM 2 and added to a parallel/serial converter 7. After the storage of the data into a shift register 11, image dot data is entered into an input circuit 4 from a host computer through a data input 27. The data is sequentially entered into a NAND circuit 21 starting with a top data from the shift register 11 in a printing head 10, with each bit synchronized to a clock 19 in every input through the input circuit 4 and the parallel/serial converter 7. After this, the data is subjected to NAND operation to obtain a NAND output 23. This NAND output 23 is reentered into the shift register 11 in the printing head 10 through a data selector 26, thus realizing high-speed printing.</p> |
