PURPOSE:To save fuel by raising flame temperature, by a method wherin application of an electrical field to an electrode in a flame is combined with supply of a minute amount of oxygen to the central part of the flame. CONSTITUTION:Through connection of a conductor 19 from a secondary coil of a transformer 18 to a hollow oxygen feed pipe 22, and electrical field is applied to an electrode member in a flame. Through the oxygen feed pipe 22, around which an insulating tube 21 is wound, after passing oxygen pump 23, an oxygen pipe 25, and an insulating part 24, a minute amount of oxygen is jetted to a central part of a flame through an opening 26 of the oxygen pipe 25, positioned about 5cm ahead from a heavy oil pipe 15, to raise the flame temperature. |
