<p>Simultaneous transfer and washing of aggregates or other minerals is effected by using an inclined sluice to transfer the matl. from a high level to a lower level while introducing additional water atsuccessive positions along the sluice. For separating clay and earth from rough ore and also eliminating the use of other forms of transport, e.g. conveyors or vehicles, in rough country. At the bottom of the sluice the suspended clay etc. is separated from the solid ore by suitable griddles. The equipment is unsophisticated to construct or maintain.</p> |
