PURPOSE:To decide the reduction powdering conditions of iron and ore raw materials to be charged with high accuracy from the images obtained by inserting a sonde contg. a fiber scope in the massive zone range from the middle step in the shaft part in a blast furnace to the melt level of the ore. CONSTITUTION:A sonde 5 is inserted into the massive zone 4 from the middle step in the shaft part 2 of a blast furnace 1 to the melting level 3 of ore. A fiber bundle 10 contg. a light guide 6 froman illuminating light source, a fiber scope 7, an objective lens 8, a prism 9, etc. is disposed in the sonde 5, and a fiber insertion pipe 11 contg. pressurized gaseous N2 is built therein. The surface A of the lower charging materials is observed through quartz glass 12 while the visual field is purged by the gaseous N2 ejected to the circumference of the glass 12. From the images thereof, the mixing ratios of the lumps and the powder of the raw materials of the charged iron and ore or the grain sizes of the lumps and powder are measured, and are compared with the predetermined reference values for reduction powdering, whereby the conditions of reduction powdering are decided with high accuracy. |
