In a circuit arrangement for determining leakage points in lines comprising electrically conductive pipes and insulation, sensor wires, which run with the pipes of the main line, are arranged in the insulation and are connected to a loop which is connected to a power source, so that the distance of a leakage point from the loop ends can be determined by measuring the end potential of the loop with respect to the pipeline. In order that leakage points in connecting lines which branch off from the main lines can also be determined precisely, the sensor wire loop of the main line is constructed such that it can be separated, and sensor wires are provided in the connecting pipelines, which sensor wires are connected to the sensor wires of the main lines and are connected separately to form loops.
