The invention relates to a power-transmitting connection for the drive of a slatted blind, in particular of a slatted blind arranged between glass panes. The connection consists of a bevel wheel gear and a housing therefor. A first bevel wheel is connected to a drive shaft, while a second bevel wheel is in engagement with the first bevel wheel and is connected to a transmission shaft. Each shaft has a pin projecting beyond the front side of the respective bevel wheel, while the housing is provided with, in addition to the bearings for the shafts, bearings for the two pins, in order always to guarantee under the respective load conditions an accurate alignment of the bevel wheels in relation to one another and precise engagement of the same in one another.
