<p>In the treatment of liquid manure by blowing air into liquid manure and stirring it into the liquid manure, it had been shown to be advantageous to introduce relatively large quantities of air of at least one cubic metre per cubic metre of liquid manure. As a result, and particularly also as a result of the heating of this air, a substantial acceleration of the ripening process can be achieved. The large quantities of air are conveyed by a radial blower (3, 4) which is driven by the stirrer motor (2).
