High-temperature reactor which is cooled with helium and has a core of spherical fuel elements
摘要
The invention relates to a means for shutting down a high-temperature reactor which is cooled with helium and has a core consisting of spherical fuel elements. This means which permits a probable residual risk to be covered comprises two diverse shut-down systems which are independent of one another. The first shut-down system consists of absorber rods which can be moved into bores of the side reflector and of absorber rods which can be moved into the core and serves for rapid and long-term shut-down and for controlling the reactor. The second shut-down system is only used for long-term shut-downs and is formed by a device with which helium-3 can be fed into the reactor core.
