<p>The device for collecting substances floating on water, particularly oil, is provided with a collector surface (1) inclined with respect to the water surface, of which the front end (10) is located below the flotation line (7) and the rear end (9) is located above the flotation line (7), including the oil layer (7a). At least one reception opening (17), connected to an accumulation chamber (2), extends from the collector surface (1) above the flotation line including the oil layer. The collector surface (1) forms with the hull (8) of the accumulation chamber an acute angle and extends towards the top therefrom. The collector surface forms with the accumulation chamber (2) a portion of a floating body. The front edge (10) of the collector surface (1) forms the deeper portion, located under the flotation line (7), of the part of the device extending behind the collector surface (1). A profiled body (10) is arranged on the front edge throughout the width of the collector surface.</p> |
