The invention relates to an animal cage, especially a bird cage, with walls consisting at least partially of glass. The object of the invention is to improve an animal cage of the type specified initially so that the cleaning of the interior of the cage is greatly simplified and the risk of frightening the animals contained in the cage, or allowing them to escape from the cage, is eliminated. This object is achieved by a partition which can be moved into the inner space of the cage, by means of which the inner space can be divided into two halves, and by an access to each half of the cage which can be opened from outside.
