PURPOSE:To obtain an effective bulb support structure in a high output traveling-wave tube that sticks and fixes bulbs and support parts to the axial direction of a high frequency circuit section wholly by shaping the section of the high frequency circuit section support parts that form part of a case into the teeth of a comb and working the top of the teeth of the comb circularly. CONSTITUTION:Comb-toothed projections on the top of a support bench are worked circularly so that their tops can make an exact surface contact to a barrel. Besides, pole piece enters into the gaps between the teeth of a comb and cross-sectional c-shaped magnets are fit in the teeth of the comb from above. In such a new support structure, first of all, since a greater part of the heat generated in the barrel is transferred to the support bench side not passing through the magnets, the temperature rise of the magnets can be prevented. In the second place, since the support bench 5' and the barrel 3 are a fully tightened structure without any gaps between them, the heat resistance between them can be reduced exceedingly and the temperature rise of the barrel be controlled comparatively low. |
