PURPOSE:To obtain a copying material not developing color during storage, and superior in color developing property during development, by providing a photosensitive layer consisting mainly of a diazo compound on the surface of a liquid-permeable substrate, and forming a backing layer consisting mainly of a coupling component and heat-meltable material on the reverse side of the substrate. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive layer consisting mainly of a diazo compound and, when needed, containing auxiliary components, such as citric acid or thiourea are formed by coating on the surface of a support permeable to liquid, such as paper or synthetic paper, capable of diffusing and dispersing a heat- molten material into the support when heated. A backing layer consisting mainly of a coupling component, such as phenol or naphthol derivatives, a heat- meltable material, such as wax or higher aliphatic acid, capable of dissolving the coupler, when heated, and diffusing it into the support; and also containing a binder, such as polyvinyl alcohol or gelatin, is formed on the reverse side of the support, thus permitting a copying material superior in storage stability, not causing background stains during storage, and enhanced in color developing property during development. |
