The electromagnetic relay is intended to operate without disturbance even at relatively high environmental temperatures (ambient temperatures) while having a simple and compact construction, which is achieved especially by means of an integral carrier part and by means of integration (which can be carried out in said carrier part or in a positive-locking manner around said carrier part) of the contact element, excitation coil and the parts (such as the core and yoke parts) belonging to the magnet unit, a current-carrying (live) switching spring being fastened on the carrier part by the pressure of a tension spring, and the armature and the contact element being arranged on the switching spring, the switching spring furthermore being fastened via a recess in the headpiece of the carrier part.
