PURPOSE:To reduce the sticking of toner to a photoreceptor, and to remove the sticking toner without damaging the photoreceptor, by arranging two cleaning means at specified positions respectively. CONSTITUTION:The 1st cleaning means composed of a foam roller 15, a rubber blade 16, etc., is provided between a transfer charger 5 and a charger 2 as a latent image forming means to clean a photoreceptor 1 throughout the operation of the copying machine. Further, a rubber blade 17 is installed as the 2nd cleaning means between a developing device 3 and a squeezing roller 4 as an excessive developer removing means. This blade 17 swings freely to clean a roller 4 during image formation or to clean the photoreceptor 1 when no image is formed. This constitution having those two cleaning means reduces the sticking of toner to the photoreceptor and also eliminates the need for a large press-contacting force, thereby removing the stuck toner in a short time without damaging the photoreceptor. |
