BRANCHING CONSTRUCTION FOR OPTICAL SUBMARINE CABLE

摘要

PURPOSE:To branch optical fiber core wires, by providing a separation box branching an optical submarine cable and connecting feeders, and an earth box connecting the feeder to a grounding point at submarine via an external housing. CONSTITUTION:A separation box 1 and an earth box 2 are connected with an optical submarine cable 3 of comparatively short length and a feeder 7 of optical submarine cables 4 and 3 connected to the earth box 2 is connected to an external housing of the earth box 2. The separation box 1 splits four optical fiber core wires 6 from the cable 3 at each two cores and connected to an optical submarine cable 5. The feeder 7 of the cables 3 and 5 is connected to each other.
