PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of main frame parts, and to prolong the life of the parts in use by providing members of consumption, such as a developer and a latent image carrier, and other members deteriorating in characteristics with time detachably in one piece froma main device. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive drum 1, a developer container 3, a cleaning means 7, and a corona discharger 8 are supported by a common supporting body 12 to constitute a replaceable image formation unit. The photosensitive drum has a limited life and when it is replaced, the image formation unit itself is replaced with a new unit to perform the replacement of the photosensitive drum, the supplementation of a developer, and the recovery of waste toner at the same time, thus improving the operability. |
