Substituted phenyl-cyclopropanecarboxylic acid esters of the formula in which R1 represents an alkoxy or alkylthio radical which is monosubstituted or polysubstituted by identical or different halogen substituents, R2 represents a hydrogen or halogen atom, or R1 and R2 together represent an alkylenedioxy radical which is monosubstituted or polysubstituted by identical or different halogen substituents, R3 represents a hydrogen atom, a cyano group or an alkyl, alkenyl or alkinyl radicals which is optionally monosubstituted or polysubstituted by identical or different halogen substituents, Y represents a nitrogen atom or a methinyl radical, and R4 and R5 are identical or different and represent a hydrogen or halogen atom, which possess pesticidal properties, plus novel intermediates therefor.
