PURPOSE:To prevent an original from shifting in position and flapping, and to press a book on the whole, by providing a flexible original covering plate through coupling members at both side parts of a supporting body formed by bending a rod body in a channel shape. CONSTITUTION:One end of a supporting body 4 formed by bending a metallic rod body in a channel shape is supported on a base 3 in a vertically rotatable state by a free stop type hinge mechanism 5a, and an original covering plate 6 made of a flexible material such as a rubber plate is fitted to the other end through a coupling member 8a and a supporting rod 7. When the front part H of the supporting body 4 is clamped and rotated, the covering plate 6 is closed gradually from its rear end part to the front end part, or opened gradually, thus preventing an original from shifting in position and flapping. Therefore, the advantages of both a soft original covering system for books and a hard covering system are obtained. |
