Ferrite core for inductive proximity switches

A ferrite core for inductive proximity switches, which exhibits a central part (1) enclosed by the coil, an edge part (2) enclosing the coil and a bottom (3) connecting the central part and the edge part, is to be constructed in such a manner that the switching characteristic of the inductive proximity switch becomes independent of the influence of external magnetic fields. For this purpose, it is provided that at least one separating layer (4) of a low-permeability material is arranged within the ferrite core between the central part (1) and the edge part (2) of the ferrite core. <IMAGE>
